5 Wedding Dress Trends From Fall 2022 Bridal Fashion Week to Know
Bridal Fashion Week is back and we can’t get enough of these stunning Fall 2022 bridal trends!
Last year we saw a lot of toned-down looks, with more simple silhouettes and minimal details taking over bridal fashion. This came as no surprise as many brides were having minimonies and at-home weddings, which called for more casual wedding dresses. But, for 2022, trends are going back to their glamorous and eye-catching roots! From detachable sleeves to cascading ruffles, brides are looking to make a statement. There are potential bridal looks for every kind of bride in the Fall 2022 collections, but these are five of our favorite wedding dress trends all 2022 brides should be looking out for!
Detachable Items
Transitional wedding dresses are making a name for themselves this Bridal Fashion Week. Not only do they give you a reception bridal look for no additional cost, but they also allow you to incorporate trends into your wedding dress that can be added or taken off throughout the day. Lazaro opted for some detachable puff sleeves (another trend this year) that are the perfect statement piece. Whether you go with a detachable sleeve, bow, or even an extended train – these detachable items can easily transition your bridal look from classic to romantic or vice versa!

Corsets
A trend we predicted for 2022 brides – corsets. After seeing this trend take over NYFW, it was only a matter of time before it became popular in the bridal industry as well. This Bridgerton-esque, Regency-inspired trend is perfect for a bride looking for a cottagecore, vintage bridal look. Designer, Eisen Stein, went with a traditional exposed boning, corset bodice for a timeless, romantic look. But, corsets can be adapted for every bridal style whether you want a more traditional corset or a corset with striking details like illusion panels or appliques.

Cut-Outs
2000’s fashion has made a comeback this past year with cut-out pants and midriff-baring tops. Now the trend has made its way into bridal fashion with cut-out wedding dresses. This trend can be more subtle with a simple back cut-out or more eye-catching with large side cut-outs. Ines Di Santo opted for a more subtle cut-out look with small triangle cut-outs on the back of a few of her Fall 2022 wedding dresses. This is a great way to incorporate a trend into your bridal look, without being too on the nose, which creates a more timeless bridal look.

Cascading Ruffles
It wouldn’t be Bridal Fashion Week without a few ruffles! Ruffles on a wedding dress are a staple when it comes to bridal fashion, but for 2022 they’re taking on a more romantic twist. Cascading ruffles are the new take on this classic trend, adding a dramatic touch to simple silhouettes. Designer Theia went with an asymmetrical, cascading ruffle sleeve that gives some dimension to an otherwise simple gown. There are so many fun ways to incorporate this trend into your bridal look from an asymmetrical ruffled skirt to a one-shoulder cascading sleeve.

Botanical Appliques
Botanical appliques are a twist on the classic floral applique trend. With cottagecore wedding dresses being extremely popular over the last year, a bridal trend with more natural elements was to be expected. Botanical appliques give a wedding dress a romantic touch that is still adaptable to many bridal styles from boho to modern. Anne Barge opted for a modern silhouette with botanical appliques that are seen throughout the dress. If a fully embellished wedding dress isn’t your style, you can also choose a more subtle option where there are only a few appliques strategically placed on the skirt of your dress.
